The third figure released by S.H. Figuarts of a tokusatsu hero's human identity Takeshi Hongo transforms into Kamen Rider using his Typhoon belt and shouting "HENSHIN!" His civilian clothes changed episode to episode but this outfit is fairly representative of the 1970's motorcycle racer/cool young dude aesthetic.
Pretty decent likeness of Hiroshi Fujioka |
Typhoon belt |
Nothing like bell bottoms. |
Weird knee joints. |
The belt just appears when it's needed. |
Nice toe articulation, less ankle rock because of his hip trousers. |
"Eeeyyyy" |
Similar elbows to the knees. I've not seen this type on Figuarts before. |
"What do you mean I ride the same motorcycle as Kamen Rider?" |
Now it's incognito without the fins/wings. |
Transformation effect screen. |
"HENSHIN!" |
Nice! I like it when companies make unmasked/alter ego versions of superheroes. This one did it well with the face sculpt and I really like how that effect part works out!
ReplyDeleteThanks. For being just a clear plastic screen with some colour it really does capture the 1970's aesthetic.
