Harley Quinn - B:TAS (DC Collectibles)

Definitely the most popular character created for Batman: the Animated Series, Harley Quinn made the jump into comics and is currently starring in her own series as well as being a member of the modern Suicide Squad. Unfortunately the powers that be decided to meddle with her practically perfect design and now she barely has a costume. But I digress...

Harleen Quinzel was a psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum who fell in love with her patient. Unprofessional for sure but made all the more problematic because her patient was the Joker. She became devoted to Mr. J. and would do anything to help her "puddin'" in his criminal schemes. This figure perfectly captures Bruce Timm's design but like the other female figures in this line her articulation is not the best. She has some extra hands, a popgun, and a Joker-ized fish from the episode "The Laughing Fish."

Out of the box her left forearm was twisted around and at first I thought her elbow joint was frozen. Luckily not, I felt a little foolish for taking so long to figure it out but it was a weird thing to happen.

"Pop! Goes the Batman."

"They're Finny and Funny and oh so delish!"

"...They're joyful and jolly -- Joker Fish!"

This is a camera trick. Her hands could not hold the fish horizontally.

"My boss likes me to wear a smile to work."

"It is to laugh, huh Mistah J?"

"A-a-a-hem! Look alive, wage slaves! Preeeesenting - the Caliph of Clowns, that Mogul of Mountebanks - the One and Only - JOKER!"

Not quite the acrobatic range she deserves.

"HARLEY! Get offame!"

A boisterous Betty

Such weird and unsightly joints.

Not sure how they'd fix that without losing something of the animated look.

Nefarious Grin.

"Should we wait for Ivy?"

"Girls' Night waits for no one!"

"C'mere Puddin'!"

"Oh Mistah J! You're the bee's knees."

"Knock it off Harl!"

"Take that Batsy!"

"Ya feelin' lucky punk."
