Panthro (Savage World)

Panthro is the mechanically inclined Thundercat who's a bit older and wiser than the rest. He comes with his trusty nunchaku with which he staves off attacks by the Evil Mutants. In the original series Panthro was voiced by Earle Hyman who played Grandpa Huxtable on "The Cosby Show."

The Savage World series reimagines the Thundercats in the chunky style of the vintage Masters of the Universe figures which works but is a bit more noticeably different with the Thundercats than it was with the evil mutant Slithe. I think it still works as a neat redesign.

Normally when I do the figure turnaround I leave the accessories out but the hands on this figure are very rigid. I actually heated his left hand in hot water to get the nunchuku in there without scratching the paint so I was like "we'll just be leaving those there" this time.

Panthro is not amused.

Nice sharp Thundercat logo.

Fun two toed ninja style boots.

Spikes are not optional.

Studded wrist cuff.

Tassles.

Their ears are so weird.

Funky armlet.

Kitty cat nunchaku.

Tiny paws of death!

Hot-cha!

"You mutants will never win!

"We'll ssssee about that!"

Weapon Trap!

"You're in trouble now Slithe!"

"Mumm-ra to the rescue you pitiful fool!"

"Evil can never triumph over a Thundercat!"

Will Panthro be victorious? Or will Mumm-Ra have the last laugh?

Tune in next time to find out!
