Mary (Shazam! Movie)

Mary Bromfield is the eldest of the foster children in the Shazam! film. She does her best to keep the others in line while getting ready to go off to college. At the end of the movie when she shares in the power of Shazam her costume is definitely the "female-version" of Billy Batson's with blousy short sleeves and a skirt. Those details harken back to Mary Marvel's first costume back in the 1940s. For whatever reason this figure was the hardest to find, I think I ended up ordering her online just to complete the set.

Not an obscene heel for a superhero.

As with every long-tressed action figure her hair does hinder her head articulation.

Almost hands on hips, which is decent at this scale.

Exasperated older sibling.

Kind of a heart?

Flying to the rescue!

Mary comes with the Deadly Sin of Sloth in "Power Slinger" form. These stretchy dudes are more colourful than their movie counterparts but it's still just as hard to make out the details.
I actually had to turn the light way way down on the close ups of Sloth in order to see any of the sculpting at all. The side views are closer to what it looked like originally.

Three Deadly Sins...

...three marvellous super siblings!

New school and medium-old school.

More of the family from alternate worlds.

  1. Not bad. All things considered I think this is my favorite in the set. Her expression is a bit more interesting to look at than the other figures, where the other female seems TOO smiley!
