Taskmaster is a super-villain with the power to instantly mimic any skill he witnesses another person using. This makes him one of the Avengers most formidable foes though his main claim to fame is setting up an academy to train henchmen for other supervillains.
Here he's in his classic costume which was designed by the legendary George PĂ©rez. Articulation is the standard Marvel Legends though his cape kind of gets in the way of some more dynamic poses.
His gun is the same as Nick Fury's but cast in gold, I'm sure his sword is also reused from another figure but I don't know where it first popped up. His shield is quite appropriately a repaint of Captain America's.
Taskmaster is a great villain and his gaudy costume is lots of fun. Can't go wrong with skull face.
This pic made my wife say "that guy looks really creepy." Score one for the sculptors. |
Pouches before the '90s. |
Shield. |
"By the Power of Grayskull!" |
"...or not..." |
A different man with a golden gun. |
"Draw!" |
Dynamic! Or about as dynamic as he gets with that cape. |
A shield like Cap, a sword like Swordsman, and a gun because he's a bad guy. |
"For the honour of Gra.. What? I already did that joke? Fine." |
"Take that Cap!" |
I like this figure but I kinda prefer the earlier release of Taskmaster with more of a skull helmet than an outright skull head.
ReplyDeleteThat design is cool too but I just love me some old-fashioned skull-face.
